EBSCOhost: EBSCO's website redesign offers increased content and functionality

Recently, EBSCO Publishing entirely redesigned both their main product website and their training and support website. Fully redesigned interfaces make finding what you need on EBSCO websites faster and more intuitive than ever before. New content and tools provides more opportunities to use EBSCOhost databases in your education and research endeavors.

EBSCO's customer website, http://www.epnet.com, provides grouped database resources, targeted toward your specific institution type. Product specific pages, subject lists and grouped title lists can help you understand the scope and functionality of EBSCOhost databases.

A completely new addition to the website is the "Customer Success Center." The new center includes:

-Free access to the Library, Information Science and Technology Abstracts LISTA database. Designed and offered to support the many areas of librarianship, LISTA provides indexing and abstracts for more than 600 periodicals plus books, research reports and proceedings, with coverage dating back to the mid-1960s.

-Customer success stories show how other organizations embrace excellence in areas from marketing initiatives to community outreach, fundraising to teacher collaboration. Does your organization have an exciting success story to tell? Let EBSCO know at http://www.epnet.com/thisTopic.php?topicID=207&marketID=20. Don't forget to share it with us here at MOREnet too, by sending your story to techsupp at more.net.

-Funding guides provide insight into the various sources of funding. Includes tips and strategies for library fundraising campaigns.

-Marketing and success tools, including event kits, printable resources and resource groupings for librarians, teachers and students.

EBSCO's Support and Training website, at http://support.epnet.com, provides an expanded collection of customer resources, which include:

-An expanded, searchable Knowledge Base, which can be searched by basic search, advanced search, and service/topic browse that leads to FAQs, help sheets and reference guides.

-A growing repository of Macromedia Flash tours and tutorials.

-Downloadable Help Sheets, Marketing Summaries, Thematic Units and Complete User Guides.

-A searchable archive of customer communications and important announcements regarding product enhancements.

-Global site searching.

-A direct link to EBSCO’s new Customer Success Center.

Please note, some of these resources, specifically tutorials, tours and release information, are available to EBSCO's customers only, and require a current EBSCO cookie in your browser's cookie repository to gain access. All customers who have previously authenticated into an EBSCOhost product should have this cookie, however, if an access denied message is received, clear your browser's cache files, and then go to the link:

http://search.epnet.com/pushauth.aspx?custid=morenet&group=main&show=n.

A blank page will be displayed. You should then successfully access the product restricted areas.
