The National Family and Consumer Sciences Coalition is currently organizing a new "teacher friendly" website.  We hope to share it at ACTE in Atlanta in November.  I volunteered to collect resources and public relations sites for this website.  The website will also include information about the Coalition with links to public policy, professional development, national standards, research, and marketing.  We are very excited about this excellent resource for FACS educators.
 
Please send me your top five favorite websites for classroom use!!!  I would love to include a number of sites that have been "field-tested" by FACS educators.

Directly corresponding to the 16 National Teaching Standards, this online directory provides a comprehensive list of valuable resources in the area of family and consumer sciences.  Links to governmental, organizational, educational, and commercial websites are available and organized by standard.  Excellent site!!! (American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences)
