[Mo-facs] Special Education Students

I need help with a special education student.  I am using the textbook Applying Life Skills and I have a student that reads on a second grade level and doesn't understand any of the textbook.  My students took a test today and I let him go to the resource room.  The teacher had to help him with the entire test and she told me that I needed to modify for him in my classroom.  I have no idea how to help this student when I have 13 others at the same time.   I also have 5 other classes to plan for.  Can anyone help?????
