I have used www.teachingtolerance.com for resources. They have free
videos and teachers guides. They also have a magazine with great ideas
and articles.
I passed on the videos to the Social Studies teacher, as they were about
the Civil Rights movement and such. But found it to be a good resource.
One article was about athletes. There was a picture of a heavy girl and
the caption asked if she was an athlete. Then the article explained she
lifts weights and is really good at what she does. It gets students
thinking about their prejudices and judgments.
