Rene Howitt just completed a presentation to all of our child
development classes about the current state of the foster system and how
the system failed two young children she loved very much.  She has
written a book about her ordeal called "Whose Best Interest?" (you can
read chapter one online at Amazon.com).  She is more than eager to
travel anywhere to share her message in hopes of shedding light on the
currently flawed child protection system.  My students really enjoyed
