I went last year and plan to go again to the Summer Institutes. It was
an awesome experience and would highly recommend it again!

Subject: [Mo-facs] Attention ProStart and Food Service Instructors

Districts receiving Perkins IV funds will be required to assist students
in obtaining a certification in a career area of focus. This means the
instructor knows the certification requirements so they can facilitate
student learning toward certification. The National Restaurant
Association Educational Foundation is offering their Summer Institutes
classes again. The National Restaurant Association not only offers
professional development for teachers but also makes available a teacher
certification. While ProStart certification for the teacher is not
required, the certification helps to increase teacher skills. Please
visit http://www.nraef.org/prostart/teachers/development/institutes.asp
to learn more about all levels of the Summer Institutes. Remember that
professional development grant funds may be requested to assist in
paying for the seminars.
