There are several curriculum resources that are research based that come
from the Dibble Institute. They have presented at summer conference.
One is "Love U2: Increasing Your Relationship Smarts". I hope that
young people begin to realize that relationships are very important when
it comes to sex and pregnancy and how to deal with their emotions. For
more information see the Dibble Institute website.

Subject: [Mo-facs] teen pregnancy prevention curriculum

We are looking into incorporating more teen pregnancy prevention and sex
ed into our high school curriculum. As of now there is a two week unit
about STDs and a little pregnancy prevention in the Health classes
taught by the PE teachers during 9th grade. Other than the few students
who take Child Development the students receive no other instruction on
sex ed during their high school years. Could you let me know what other
schools are doing about teaching sex ed. If you have a mandatory class
or unit for all students for graduation credit, who teaches what, are
their other resources....Thanks.

Also, we are looking into buying new sewing machines for our department.
We incorporate a lot of service learning into our Apparel and Textiles
classes and would like to continue supplying our community partners
with items the students make. Could you let me know if there is a good
company to work with on price and quality. Thanks, MelindaFACS at aol.com
