[Mo-facs] foods class suggestion

Dear list-serve,
We are in the middle of our breads & baking unit. We make pretzels, muffins, biscuits & gravy, but I also thought doughnuts would be fun, (oops) I mean educational. Have any of you made doughnuts in a 45 minute class period? Does the batter stay good overnight? We could mix one day and fry the next?? Any suggestions...
