Many of you have attended Dibble Fund presentations at summer conference
and I know that several of you use their curriculums. Here is a chance
to get some free curriculum.
Dear Friends,
I am delighted to announce the launch of "First Comes Love" a national
campaign focusing on the value of healthy marriages and developing
positive relationship skills with teens! Two hundred "First Comes Love"
teachers and youth workers will be selected from nominations by The
Dibble Fund and its grant partners, The National Campaign to Prevent
Teen Pregnancy, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, and
Public Strategies, Inc. The Program will work with teachers and youth
workers in a cross section of communities and states to raise awareness
of healthy romantic relationships and the skills teens need to build
them.
The instructors will be responsible for teaching a youth relationship
curriculum to at least 30 teens. The successful nominees will have
their choice of one curriculum from either the Connections or Love U2(r)
series that have been adapted for teens from the highly acclaimed
Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP(r)). Selected
nominees will receive up to $400 worth of best-practices educational
materials.
The nominees will be selected based on the following criteria:
1. Nominee is currently working with youth
2. Nominee has access to educate a minimum of 30 high school aged youth
3. Nominee can complete the program by August 30, 2007
Nominations to be involved in the "First Comes Love" national campaign
