Subject: [Mo-facs] Rolls in a jar
Teachers,
For over 20 years the FACS department at North Nodaway has mixed and
baked home-made yeast rolls during the week of and before Thanksgiving
as a FCCLA fundraiser. They do this before, during, and after school in
all FCS classes, it's a small town tradition.
As a first year teacher I didn't want to "take that tradition away" as
it is important to the community. As I second year teacher (you can see
the problems with this project) we are not baking 600 dozen yeast rolls
in and out of class the week before Thanksgiving.
What the students have come up with is to sell jar mixes, possibly
cookies but they still want the rolls as does the community.
Does anyone have a jar mix for rolls or yeast rolls? All the mixes or
just dry ingredients I have found won't fit in jar and the recipe is
affected if cut down.
Please let me know if you have a good jar mix especially for yeast
rolls!
Thank you,
Sarah Creason
North Nodaway RVI
