The Advanced Technical Security Symposium brings a diverse group of
professionals from across the Missouri public sector who are involved
with and interested in computer security issues. Conference attendees
are from Missouri state government, higher education institutions, K-12
schools and public libraries.
 
The Symposium reflects a growing movement to share information and
resources to combat a common threat. Computer security issues, both
network and host, are critical to any entity on the Internet. New
questions emerge on a daily basis covering issues ranging from legal and
technical to policy and staffing issues. Join the Symposium and share!
 
Presentation submissions should cover novel and practical ways to
implement security solutions in very diverse network environments.
Specific topics of interest include, but are not limited to: 
	- Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning and
Implementation
 	- Network traffic analysis
 	- Intrusion prevention/intrusion detection system
      - Network Admission Control systems
      - Virtualization projects
      - Physical security (video surveillance)
 	- Desktop security solutions
 	- Patch deployment solutions
 	- Identity management and system registration
 	- Wireless security 
 	- Anti-spam and anti-virus enterprise solutions

A good presentation should: 
	- Be informative. It should be clear whether attendees can apply
your work to their own environment, and how they would go about doing
so.
	- Demonstrate useful security solutions.
	- Be relevant to conference objectives and themes. 
	- Be clearly written. 
 
The Conference Planning Committee will review all proposals and notify
you of its decision by mid-September, if your proposal was accepted.

there is a vendor that you would like to visit with, please send us

reception and vendor sharing time.
