[TGE-mail] Two dogs loose on Shenandoah

Please call City Animal Control immediately if these
animals are seen on the loose again 353-5838.  

If these dogs are seen out before 8:00 am or after
5:00 pm then you have to call 911 and tell the
dispatcher that these are dangerous dogs that need to
be taken off the street.  Don't let the dispatcher
tell you to call Animal Control because they are
closed, animal control told me before 8:00 am or after
5:00 pm a police officer is to be dispatched and
he/she will call the Animal Control, on-call, staff
person to catch the dogs.  If these dogs are roaming
before 8:00 am or after 5:00 pm then the owner knows
he/she is violating the law and also knows that animal
control is more difficult to reach.  

City Animal Control will trap them and then fine the
owner which should make that individual think twice
about letting them roam loose.  These are obviously
aggressive animals and dangerous.  Rottweilers have
killed other dogs and children before.  Don't risk
approaching them especially if you have a dog with
you.
