The fourth forum in the series, "A Public Dialogue on Public Education", will be the second of the stakeholder forums. This forum will highlight the business and philanthropic sectors. Representatives of the business and philanthropic communities will present their perspectives on public education in the City of St. Louis, identifying what they see as critical issues related to the schools and outlining their interests and needs related to support of public education. Presenters and panelists will include:
Linda Aitch, Director of Community Investment, Grtr. St. Louis Community Foundation
Lou Fusz, Jr., President, Lou Fusz Automotive Network
Deborah Patterson, President, Monsanto Fund
Tony Thompson, President & CEO, Kwame Building Group, Inc.

(The Engineers' Club is in the Central West End on the north side of Lindell Boulevard between Boyle and Newstead Avenues. It is in the block immediately east of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis (New Cathedral). There is ample parking behind and to the east of the building. Turn into the parking lot off of Lindell Blvd. at the east end of the Engineers' Club building.)
A Public Dialogue on Public Education will continue with a series of forums approximately every two weeks through the 2006-2007 school year. These forums are intended to promote constructive community dialogue, provide needed data and information, and develop effective strategies to advance quality public education in the City of St. Louis.
The next forum in the series on November 16 will feature stakeholders representing local government and community organizations.
