[TGE-mail] Stolen car incident

I recently purchased a 2 family on the 3400 block of Compton and am looking
forward to being an active part of the neighborhood.

This past Sunday, my girlfriend and I were working on the house (it is
vacant until we finish fixing it up) and we witnessed a stolen car incident.
It was around 2pm and a red suv sped very fast south on Compton and turned
left at Juniata. I witnessed three youths running down the alley between
Compton and Michigan and hide under a back deck. I called the police (who
were in pursuit) to inform them. It was fortunate that I just happened to be
looking out the back window at the time, but three young men were
apprehended. The police searched the neighborhood for another person and a
gun, but these were not found.

I was reading back digests of the list and I saw all the postings alerting
folks about crimes in the area and I thought it would be something that
others would like to know.

I'm very glad to have helped in a small way to improve the area and I look
forward to being another positive force!
