[TGE-mail] Weed & Seed Tonight 11-9 and 6th Ward alleys

Dear Neighbors - 

There is a Weed & Seed crime-fighting meeting tonight at 6:00 p.m. at the Five Star Senior Center, 2832 Arsenal St.  This is an opportunity to speak directly with our Weed & Seed police officers with any problems occurring on your block. At 7:30 p.m. tonight in the same location, the Third District Public Affairs meeting will be held.  Guest speaker is Jennifer Joyce, Circuit Attorney for the City of St. Louis. The Weed & Seed graduation ceremony for TGE and the other graduating neighborhoods is Nov. 30, and details will be available at the meeting. Although TGE will no longer have Weed & Seed funding after the end of the year, meetings of the former W & S neighborhoods in the 3rd District will continue at the same time and place: the second Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m., at Five Star, which is where the new 3rd District W & S neighborhood, Dutchtown, will be meeting.

TGE alleys in the 6th Ward are to have repaving completed next spring and summer. Mary Cullins in Alderman Reed's office advises that she will be meeting in the next few weeks with the Street Department, to review a list of the remaining alleys to be paved.  If you live in the 6th Ward part of TGE and have a question about whether your alley is on the list to be paved, please call Mary at 436-8181.
