Reminder from Erato Wine Bar:

 

We will be hosting our Wines of South America Tasting tonight from 7:30 to
9:30.  Admission is $20.

 

Tonight's wine tasting will feature the wines of Chile and Argentina.  Our
special guest, Darryl Vennard of Pinnacle Wines, will have 15 wines
available for tasting.  We will also be serving South American inspired
appetizers prepared by Chef Aaron Whalen (Bastante Restaurant).  The tasting
will be followed by a live performance from local world music artists Ginkgo
Biloba.   No reservations are required to attend this event.

Friday, Oct. 20 (9:00 - 12:00 am) 

Collectively influenced by an range of American (Joe Venuti & Eddie Lang,
Stuff Smith), European (Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli) and Latin
(Antonio Carlos Jobim, Xavier Cugat) recording artists, Dizzy Atmospere
demonstrates an enormous variety of repertoire, equally adept at playing
America's greatest standards,  vocally and instrumentally, interpreting the
understated charm of Brazilian composer Jobim, or presenting the dazzling
dance rhythms of Xavier Cugat. 

 

*	Ginkgo Biloba

Saturday, Oct. 21 (9:00 - 12:00 am)

A sensational quartet that blends jazz standards with a variety American,
Latin and Mediterranean influences.  Ginkgo's newest member, female vocalist
Megan Rooney, adds a stirring accompaniment to the band's eclectic tapestry.
