Dear neighbors - some upcoming dates & events - 

Thursday, February 22, 7:30 p.m. - St. Elizabeth Academy, 3401 Arsenal - TGENA General Membership Meeting - Candidate forum - Candidates for Aldermanic President and 6th Ward Alderman, moderated by Dave Drebes of the Arch City Chronicle.   (TGE general membership meetings are the 4th Thursday of the month, most months)

Friday, February 23, 6:00 to 7:30 - TGE Police Substation Rededication - 2901 Sidney (corner of Sidney & Nebraska).  For more information contact Jerome Murry at 371-1548.  

Wednesday, February 28th - 7:00 p.m. - TGE Community Garden Meeting, contact Bev O'Neal for info & address - 773-6111.  (Also - our TGE Community Garden will receive assistance from Gateway Greening to install new garden beds, which will probably be installed in March.  The awards ceremony is Feb. 24th.)  The TGE Community Garden is located at Sidney & Virginia, northwest corner. 

Sat., March 3 - 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon - Winter Market/Tower Grove Farmers Market, 3664 Arsenal at St. John's Episcopal Church (first Sat of every month during the winter).  Market returns to weekly (every Saturday morning) schedule on May 12th, in TG Park.

Wed., March 7, 7:00 p.m. - TGENA board meeting at Five Star Senior Center, 2832 Arsenal St.   (board meeting is 1st Wed of each month)

Thursday, March 8, 6:00 p.m. - Weed & Seed Crime Fighting Meeting, Five Star Senior Center, 2832 Arsenal, followed by the Third District Public Affairs meeting at 7:30 p.m.   (Weed & Seed and Third District Publ. Affairs meetings are the 2nd Thursday of the month.)

Saturday, March 10, 8:30 to 4:30 p.m. - SLACO (St. Louis Assn. of Community Organizations) Neighborhoods Conference at Forest Park Community College. Cost is $15.00, and includes a box lunch.  Peter Raven is the keynote speaker.  Registration form at:  http://stlouis.missouri.org/slaco/    TGENA gets 4 paid conference registrations in connection with our SLACO Membership.  If you are interested in this, please contact Patrick Moore, TGENA President, at the e-mail above or at 535-5000 (daytime #).  If Patrick has more than 4 people who want to take advantage of these paid registrations, he will draw 4 names from a hat.
