Susan,  Thanks for being so alert and watching out for your neighbors.  I work for AT&T and we do have a program of having people go door to door here in St. Louis.  They are called our D2D team and I confirmed that they were working in your block yesterday.  They go to homes of current AT&T customers to see if service is ok and if customers have any questions.  It is a way for our company to try to put a local touch and face on a very large corporation.  They should have IDs with them and be happy to show you those.  So please feel free to ask to see them to confirm that.

Two men came to my door at 3500 block of Sidney , claiming to be from AT&T, checking to make sure that our services were ok, and that we were not being overcharged or getting fluctuating bills. There is no truck on the block
Call the police- AT& T would not send two people door to door.
