Ald. Triplett,

I do think the  NAB program is worth pursuing and  my petition will be 
sent.  I'm curious  what other steps you have in mind. Because more will 
be needed. 

The police are making a good faith effort to respond to what is 
happening in our neighborhood, but with the limited number of  police 
officers available their best efforts may not be enough.

This increase in crime in the area is nothing new. Last summer we 
experienced the same thing with gunfire, vandalism, care theft and home 
break-ins becoming more the norm.

My guess is that if given the opportunity the neighborhood wouldn't just 
sit on their hands. My problem is that I'm not sure what I can do. I 
have the club on my car, have a big dog in the yard, I talk with my 
closet neighbors and I go to some of the meetings to learn what is 
happening in the area. I think most of my neighbors are doing pretty 
much the same.

Are we missing something?
