[TGE-mail] Police Training for TGE Northeast June 9th

Dear Neighbors - The third of our three meetings for the Northeast Corner* of Tower Grove East is scheduled for this Saturday, June 9th, 10:30 a.m. to noon, at the TGE Police Substation at 2901 Sidney.  

Police Officer Don Re, Third District Public Affairs Officer, will speak about making calls to the police, which number to call, what to expect from dispatching, dispatching priorities, etc.  There will then be a short presentation about the City's nuisance property process, presented either by one of the Third District Problem Property Officers or by Jimmie Miller, 6th Ward NSO.  If you are interested in purchasing a car club, a limited number will be available for purchase before and after the meeting for $11.00 each.  (This is the new model that fits both cars and mini-vans/SUVs/pickup trucks.)  We will also have plastic license plate covers available for purchase for a nominal amount, and we have a collection of leaflets on crime and safety topics available.  6th Ward Alderwoman Kacie Triplett is out of town, so she will not be at this meeting.  

The blocks that were leafletted for this meeting are the following, but any TGE resident is welcome (we have also had some guests from adjacent neighborhoods):   2900-3000 Compton, 2900-3000 Michigan, 2900-3000 Minnesota, 2900-3000 Pennsylvania, 3100 Halliday, 3100 Pestalozzi, 3000-3100 Arsenal. 

As a reminder, the purposes for the meetings are: 1.  Show a presence of concerned residents and police. 2.  Train residents about the City’s nuisance property process and police procedures.  3.  Strengthen the TGENA block captain system and recruit block captains for blocks that do not have them.
