Dear Neighbors - Reminder about this month's anti-crime meetings for TGE:  Weed & Seed and Third District Public Affairs meetings this Thursday, Oct. 11th:

This is a reminder that there is a South City Weed & Seed 
neighborhood advisory meeting on Thursday, October 11th, 
2007, 6:30 p.m. (new time), at the Five Star Senior Center, 
2832 Arsenal St. 

Our planned special guest speaker is Cathy Ruggeri-Rea. She is 
an attorney and administrator for the City's 
Municipal Courts, and will be giving us a presentation on 
Neighborhood Orders of Protection. These orders are being used 
in criminal cases to prohibit individuals from specific 
geographic areas as a condition of their probation or release. 
This will be the same presentation that Ald. Ortmann talked about at 
our August meeting, which was previously made to a group of 
SLMPD captains, etc. 

Also, at 7:30 p.m., the Third District Public Affairs meeting featured 
speaker will be Mr. Terry Houston, Principal of Roosevelt High School. 
Detectives from the SLMPD gang unit will also be available to answer 
questions.
