DeSales Taste of the South Side to be held at The Mad Art Gallery

Mark your calendar and make plans to attend the "Taste of the South
Side: Party and Auction" to be held on Friday, October 26th. 

DeSales Community Housing Corporation will hold its 17th annual "Taste"
from 5:30-8:00pm at the Mad Art Gallery, 2727 S. 12th Street.  The Mad
Art Gallery is a wonderful 1930s art deco police station that was
beautifully restored and converted into a contemporary art gallery.  It
boasts 19,000 square feet of terrazzo floors and marble hallways.  

 

This year's auction includes a variety of items such as sports tickets,
restaurant gift certificates, and unique one-of-a-kind portraits, prints
and jewelry. New to this year's auction is the Sports Memorabilia
section which features memorabilia autographed by current and former
Cardinals players (such as Yadier Molina, Adam Wainwright, and Ozzie
Smith) and Rams players (such as Isaac Bruce and Mike Jones).  This
year's auction will also include a Shrek poster signed by members of the
cast:  Mike Myers (Shrek), Eddie Murphy (the Donkey), and Cameron Diaz
(Princess Fiona). All autographed items are guaranteed authentic and
include a certificate of authenticity.

 

The money raised from this event will support the work of DeSales
Housing in St. Louis neighborhoods. Tickets are $35 (or 2 for $60) in
advance and $40 at the door.  Each ticket includes 2 complimentary
