I have noticed a lot of building material, wood, large objects from folks or contractors dumping into our dumpsters in the 3300 block of Magnolia. Timber planks that are extremely long. Maybe someone needs to lay this request at the feet of contractors they hire, so they remove waste as they rehab. Just a thought

Yard Waste Containers
It is that time of year again when many of us will be using the yard waste containers in our alleys.
We are already having problems in the alley between Pestalozzi and Halliday.
A neighbor has and placed full branches and limbs in the dumpster without cutting them up to fit into the container.
Large branches protruding out of containers, placed beside or on top of them, make the alleys extremely difficult to navigate. This can damage vehicles attempting to exit the alley from their garages and parking pads . It is called illegal dumping.
The city refuse department will not empty containers that cannot be safely emptied.
Please have the courtesy to break up your yard waste and tree trimmings to fit into these containers.
Get your own dumpster if you have large limbs that do not fit and you do not feel like cutting up.
Neighbors, if you observe anyone doing this please call 231-1212 to file a report giving them the time, date, and location, then call the Citizen's Service Bureau at 622-4800.
