2008 SUMMER ON STAGE
Children’s Theatre Arts Camps
for Kindergarten – 5th Grade*
Join Stray Dog Theatre’s ARTS IN MIND for a summer season of theatre camps.
Camps are taught by theatre professionals and offer a variety of hands-on
fun and education, culminating in a week’s end play for friends and family.
Snacks and materials are provided. Space is limited, so make your
reservation today.

DATES (MONDAY - FRIDAY)
June 9 – 13: “I” is for Improv
As an introduction to theatre, use your body, voice and your own unique
imagination to create an original play;
Creative skills to help develop confidence!
June 16 – 20: SuperHero Camp
Zip! Zoom! Zoink! Create your own secret identity to develop the storyline
to this week’s play!
June 23 – 27: Sea Creatures and More
Hop on the boat and let the waves drift you away to a deep sea exploration.
Together we’ll create an imaginative play on our fun-filled watery
adventure.
July 7 – 11: Make 'Em Laugh
Get ready to bust a gut at our comedy class. Here you will learn basic
comedy techniques
while playing games, improvising, and performing.
July 14 – 18: Shoestring Characters
Use odds and ends from around the house to create your own puppet creation!
Spend the week
creating your puppets and creating your own characters with them to be used
in our very own puppet production.
July 21 – 25: It’s All In A Book
Join us this week as we explore the art of storytelling; giving life to the
best storybooks!
Campers will use movement, music, and props to create a storytelling
performance.
July 28 – August 1: Behind the Scenes
Explore the many components behind the scenes of theatre.
Campers will create scenery, costumes, and art as we prepare a show!
August 4 – 8: Hooray For Broadway
Become a Broadway Baby and learn how to sing, dance and act!
This week is all about the world of musical theatre.
August 11 – 15: Under the Big Tent
Ever wanted to join the circus? With Stray Dog Theatre you can!
This week we will be tumbling, juggling, and clowning our way through the
Circus Arts.
