15th Annual Grand South Grand House and Garden Tour: Held on
Saturday and Sunday, April 19th and 20th from 11 am - 5 pm

The 15th annual Grand South Grand House and Garden Tour will be
held from 11 am to 5 pm, Saturday and Sunday, April 19th and
20th. The tour showcases the architectural and personal styles
of grand living in fourteen homes through five different
neighborhoods linked by South Grand.

This 15th anniversary tour includes two landmark homes, a
special celebrity home, a new "historic" building, and more. Two
well known homes this year are the Magic Chef Mansion and the
Director of Tower Grove Park's home. The Magic Chef Mansion is a
colossal 12,000 square foot home filled with period antiques. The
Director of Tower Grove Park's home features a third floor turret
that offers a tree-lined vista of Tower Grove Park and the
Botanical Gardens.

Wine tasting, delicious food and great music will be featured.
In addition, the Compton Hill Water Tower will be open for
visitors for a separate fee. The tour starts in the South Grand
entrance to Tower Grove Park at Pestalozzi. Parking and shuttles
are available for the tour.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 the day of the tour. Advance
tickets can be purchased at select locations: Gringo Jones
Imports, Botanicals Design Studio, the Missouri Botanical Garden
in the Garden Gate Gift Shop, or over the phone by calling

You can still give Mom macaroni art and take her out to brunch.
But why not spice up the Mother's Day experience with a
refreshing and exciting bike ride around St. Louis City? The
Sunday, May 11th South Grand Tour St. Louis ride is intended to
encourage families and city dwellars to take advantage of the
city's bike lanes for fun, exercise, and transportation.

Riders can register and start riding between 7 am and 9 am the
day of the ride, or register in advance online (coming soon) at:

Registration and start will take place on South Grand Boulevard
in the parking lot behind Commerce Bank, which is located at
3134 South Grand Blvd. The cost is $5 for moms, $7 for everyone
else. Kids 10 and under are free. The first 200 paid riders will
receive the official ride T-Shirt!

Helmets First will be there offering helmet fitting and free or
deeply discounted helmets for kids. The St. Louis Regional
Bicycle Federation will offer maps and informative literature on
bike commuting and safety. St. Louis Bicycle WORKS will offer
mechanical safety checks and minor repairs on site. Gateway Arch
Riverfront will have bikes available for rental. All proeeds
support the projects and programs of the St. Louis Regional
Bicycle Federation.

Verve's Special Event to Raise Awareness for Childhood Leukemia
is April 25th

Verve Hair Salon is hosting a special event to mark the first
anniversary at their new location by helping raise funds to help
benefit children who are undergoing chemotherapy. Join them
Friday, April 25th at 6 pm for an in-salon reception that
includes wine and food. A ten dollar donation is requested.
