[TGE-mail] Roosevelt High School 2nd Annual End of the Year Picnic - -DAY OF LOVE!

Dear Neighbors--

  Roosevelt High School has begun planning its end of the year BBQ, the event that the principal Terry Houston has coined "the Day of Love."  This day is set aside to celebrate at Roosevelt; to celebrate its graduation seniors, to celebrate the great progress the school has made, and to celebrate the bright future for the school that's yet to come.  The day is scheduled for Friday, May 16, and will begin at 11:00.

  There has been an ongoing effort to get the neighborhood and surrounding community more involved in the school.  This is a great opportunity for all of us to come together and show Roosevelt students that we do support them.  The school's success is greatly tied to the success of our neighborhood.  And there have been great strides made at the school this year.  Besides, the day is lots of fun, and who can resist BBQ on a sunny May day?

  We're looking for volunteers to help plan the day.  We're also looking for people to help work the event.  And, if you know of any avenues that we might pursue for donations of food and or/drink, we'd appreciate that as well.
