Dear Neighbors - Attached is Vol. 1 Issue 1 of a new newsletter from our neighborhood public high school, RHS, which is located on the 3200 block of Hartford.  The Toys for Tots program which our neighbor Colonel Chris Joyce spearheaded during the Christmas season is featured in an article in the newsletter.

As many of you know, the Tower Grove East Neighborhood Association is involved in an ongoing support project to assist the school (with the help of Benton Park West neighborhood, residents of Gravois Park, the SLPS Community Education program, and others), which we are calling the Roosevelt Community Council.  The community council has assisted in establishing afterschool tutoring, clubs, and a career Explorer Post at the school through the Learning for Life program.

Next meeting is Tuesday, March 11th, 4:30 p.m. in the RHS library, but we have committees meeting sooner than that which would welcome assistance, or you could volunteer to assist with tutoring.  One special need right now is for a mathematics educator to assist in identifying math tutoring resources for the school.  This would be a short-term project.
